Language is what I study, and what I compete in.
Symbolic Systems at Stanford with a natural language concentration, a linguistics minor, and a long detour through competitive debate that has taken me from Hong Kong to Panama to Philadelphia. In between I’ve run regressions on cognitive screening data, spent $20,000 of someone else’s TikTok budget rather carefully, and sold a lot of cookie dough for charity.
Off the clock: harp practice, an (attempted) woodcarving of a bear, and the latest variation of my tomato soup.

As you might be able to tell, I love puzzles.
I love spending my free time identifying patterns, making informed guesses, and learning new things about the world. I find that investing, especially alternative investing, is a perfect way for me to translate my interests into practical use.
Furthermore, I understand that jobs in private equity and investment require a high level of conviction and in-depth knowledge of particular industries, which I am keen to use from my debate experience and continue to develop.
At present, I don’t have much professional exposure to the finance sector, but I am tenacious and keen to learn new things. If there is something I don’t understand, I will ask questions until I do. I am highly interested in learning everything I can in Recalc Finance Accelerator, and developing my own skills and knowledge in the process.
